After Chernobyl: Welsh Poetry and Nuclear Power

This article examines the responses of Welsh poets, writing in both English and Welsh, to nuclear power period after Chernobyl disaster April 1986. Fall-out from contaminated upland areas North Wales adjacent country's two stations, Trawsfynydd Wylfa, prompting a backlash against industry. poets played key roles anti-nuclear movement during 1980s 1990s, poems that respond threats closer home. Furthermore, we trace long aftermath poetry R.S. Thomas Robert Minhinnick, which is frequently with imagery vocabulary disaster.
